Yami Sushi in Hellerup has fries with ketchup, grapes, oranges, pineapple and little chicken legs on the conveyer belt along with pretty good sushi and goodies for everyone else. Call for a reservation on the weekends. See my bigger post for details.
American Tasting Hot Dogs - Well we have found a hot dog pretty close to the ones at home. In other words the skin doesn't pop when you bite it and the inside is not mushy. Don't get me wrong I like the weird pølser here but my younger son is not impressed. So try SuperBrugsen XTra Partypølser. They are about 16 DKK and my picky eater loves them.
SMOOTH Peanut Butter - SuperBest peanut butters that are REALLY smooth like home - I have only found these at SuperBest - Countess, Nick's, SunPat, and with great trepidation I bought the Jif Creamy from the AMERICAN SHELF today. I was a little nervous because the Skippy so called Creamy from the regular grocery shelves is NOT creamy but the Jif IS.
American Pancake Syrup - Mega Candy Store in Nørreport. Maybe other Mega Candy stores but I haven't checked :) They also had canned pumpkin and a Lucky Charms knockoff during the holidays.
Knorr Mixes (mostly meal in a bags) - Garlic one/not so good, but Paprika, Yellow Curry (don't forget you will need cream/fløde), and our new alltime favorite BBQ! Put the chicken in the freezer when it's on sale and throw it in the bag and then in the oven for a fast inexpensive dinner in Denmark. I put chicken thighs in the BBQ last week and it was awesome! We don't like chicken thighs, who does, but they were on sale at Super Brugsen and when they came out of the bag they were tender and tasty. If you can find it their chicken nugget coating is really good, my crazy picky 8 year old will actually eat it without complaining.
